OUR HISTORY
Wings Bearing Precious Seed was founded by Bob Adams in October of 1977. He was a pastor in Indiana who had gotten a burden for Scripture distribution from men like Don Fraser and Carlos Demarest. This burden grew to a calling on a mission trip where Brother Adams saw the dearth of Scriptures on the foreign field, first hand. From the beginning, Wings Bearing Precious Seed has been operated by faith and distribution has been our work. At first, a small piper aircraft and then a cargo Cessna U206 aircraft was used to haul Scriptures primarily into Central America. After a decade of flying and some health problems, God led Brother Adams to continue the work of distribution, though without a plane. Shipments grew from M-bags to pallets to containers. Bro Adams went to be with the Lord in 2012. Following is a video honoring the life and legacy of Bob Adams and the first 30 years of Wings BPS (1977-2007).
While the first decade was primarily flying the Scriptures the second decade was mailing the Scriptures. The third decade was characterized by shipping the Scriptures and the fourth decade was distributing the Scriptures. The following video highlights 4 decades of Wings BPS ministry (1977-2017).
